No Lacquer

Most copper homeware is sealed under a clear coat so it never tarnishes on a shelf. That coat also seals the copper away from anything it touches. Copper's antimicrobial action requires direct contact with the metal, so ours is bare. It will patina. That is the copper working, and a rub with lemon and salt returns it to bright.

No Plating

Solid copper throughout, not copper-coloured steel. Plated scrapers wear back to the base metal at the edge — precisely the part doing the work

No Plastic in the Scraper
